Marquie Data Systems is a one-person database consultancy based in Ossining, NY. We help businesses get more out of the data they already have — without selling new software or rebuilding what already works.
Who we work with
Two audiences:
- Local businesses. Restaurants, garages, dentists, contractors, and local retailers where the back-office software is doing more than the owner has time to check on. Big enough to feel the pain of slow reports or lost data; small enough that hiring a full-time IT person isn't worth it.
- Mid-market operators. Companies running production SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL where slow reports, lost data, or downtime cost real money.
How we're different
- Local. Same town, same time zone, same area code. On-site visits when it helps.
- Plain English. We explain what's broken in language that doesn't require a CS degree.

Background
Two decades of database work — performance tuning, partitioning, backup and recovery, replication, and high-availability. Recent engagements include zero-downtime partition cutovers on multi-billion-row tables, Availability Group failover automation across multiple production instances, workload-replay performance tuning, and AI/MCP infrastructure setup for a national logistics platform. Now turning that experience toward the businesses on Main Street.
